SCA MK1 Pistol

Concepted, designed and overcomplicated all from scratch.

To further my knowledge of weapon design / functioning in my spare time I set the challenge of creating a 9MM blowback pistol from scratch under the guise of my (fictional) arms company: SCA. To assemble the gun fully and compose it to it's current form I have concepted and designed all parts.
This SCA MK1 is the result of various iterations and trial and error into creating a realistic handgun system. This includes the systems for: chambering, firing, ejecting and re-chambering the bullet all in one sweeping motion as well as being able to assemble and re-assemble the gun. This asset has taught me a lot about designing interacting components as well as the mechanical functioning that goes into firearms.

Is it overcomplicated? Yes
Is it expensive to manufacture? Yes
Does it work? Probably not
Did I have fun making it? Yes!
